Do you ship to UPS Stores and Post Offices via General Delivery?Updated 5 days ago
Yes! We ship orders to hikers in trail towns every day! It is up to you to find the correct address for a given post office (check ahead of time to see if they offer General Delivery and to see if they can hold your package for you). We’re happy to help with this process by adding your estimated arrival date and “Hold for [PCT] hiker” to your package so the post office knows when to expect you. You can provide these details by clicking “Your Pack” in the top left corner, selecting “View Pack,” and entering the information in the “Order Instructions” dropdown field near the "Checkout" button. Chances are you will need to show an ID with your name that matches the name on the package when picking up your box.
We recommend planning ahead to make sure the package will arrive at the post office before you arrive. Choosing USPS Priority shipping can better help ensure a faster and successful arrival too. Most post offices hold General Delivery boxes for 1 month only.
UPS Store Pick-Up:
It is crucial to contact the specific store location first to confirm they accept packages for non-mailbox holders and to inquire about their holding fees. To address a package for pickup at a The UPS Store, you should use the store's physical address, clearly mark it for "Hold for Pickup," and include your contact information.

USPS General Delivery:
General Delivery is usually only offered at the main Post Office in a city or town, not all branch locations, and is provided at the discretion of the local Postmaster. Post offices generally do not hold packages from other carriers like UPS or FedEx. Use the words GENERAL DELIVERY, uppercase preferred, spelled out (no abbreviation), as the Delivery Address Line on the mailpiece. Each record should carry the –9999 add-on code.
